Everyone can contribute differently. Some offer a few hours, others work, knowledge, ideas, connections, equipment or financial support. What matters is that the contribution is sincere, useful and dependable.

Opening doors to venues, collaborations, activities and human connections that enrich community life.

Who is it for?
For anyone who shares DEN's values and wants to support a child- and family-friendly community. Parents, adult helpers and secondary-school students can all find a role suited to their age and experience.
We want to work with people who can communicate, ask questions, learn, take responsibility and respect agreed boundaries.

We discuss motivation, available time, community values and safety boundaries. Not every role involves direct work with children.

We look for a specific role that is needed, matches the applicant's skills and can be taken on responsibly over time.

Clear and safe boundaries
What does responsible volunteering mean here?
Good intentions are an important start, but every role around children must be clear, transparent and responsibly undertaken. Direct work with children is never automatic.
- Children's activities do not allow unrestricted, unchecked access.
- Direct work with children always requires prior personal discussion.
- Volunteering does not confer rank, power or special privileges.
- Support cannot buy influence or preferential treatment.
- Participation is voluntary, but once someone takes on a task, we count on their reliability.
- Children's dignity and safety matter more than any idea or contribution.
The foundation of our early work
Voluntary contributions, shared responsibility
At the community's initial stage, there is no compulsory membership or participation fee. Everyone covers their own admission, travel, meals and personal costs associated with activities.
Financial, material and practical contributions are voluntary. Every offer aims to create more real activities, shared experiences and opportunities for children and families to grow.
Help becomes community when we can rely on one another.
The first step is a personal conversation. We get to know one another, discuss possibilities and find a task that can truly benefit the community.
